This year, the small publisher Zoch Spiele has outdistanced all other game designers in the area of childrenīs boardgames with their fabulous game "Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke".

The game itself follows the memory-priciples, which means that the players will have to memorize the position of different cards on the tabel. The difference to standart memory lies in the fact that the players donīt collect the tiles but move a figure instead.

Before the game starts, the players distribute 24 movement-spaces with 12 different images in a circle on the table. Keeping the same distance between each player, the players each put their figure - a wooden cock or chicken - with one feather onto a movement space. Afterwards, 12 movement-tiles - each showing one of the 12 images - are placed face down in the center of the table and mixed. In a playerīs turn, a player turns around one of these tiles so that everyone can see it. If it shows the image from the next movement-space, then the player is allowed to move forwards one space, returns the tile and may turn around another tile. This continues until the player turns around a wrong tile.

Whenever a player overtakes another player, he is allowed to steal all feathers from the other player. The game is won by the player who first gets all feathers.

Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke already entered the road to victory with its absolute cute design. The graphics were done by Star-designer Doris Matthäus, and the wooden chickens with their feathers look absolutely cute. Furthermore, the game takes up the idea from good old Memory and transforms it into something new - with much more action and fun for the players. In this game, childrens can train their memory and also have much fun by the interaction with other players whom they try to overtake.

A great game !
