A quite unknown Milton Bradly game from the 1980's is Thunder Road, a game of Highway-Mayhem with a Mad Max-like atmosphere.

In this game, several gangs of road thugs are battling for predominance of a road, and thus they have organised a death-race to see who can stay on the road for the longest time. Each player has several different cars available, and also one helicopter-like flying machine. With these vehicles, players can ram other players off the road or try to shoot them.

The interesting part of the game is that it features a never-ending road. Two pieces of road are supplied, and whenever the first competitor reaches the end of the current strip of road, the strip in the back is placed up to the front, but all vehicles on that strip are lost from the game. The game mechanics are fairly easy, and the game possesses a fair replay value, although MB has done quite a few better games. I guess that the game is most attractive for Mad Max fans...
